From 2014 onwards the further training activities of the participating intermediaries will be documented in the vocational further training database. From 2014 the following will be recorded:

  • All the participating intermediaries with their CPFT points in their individual CPFT accounts and
  • the participating accredited training providers.

Every intermediary taking part can open his own advanced training account. To open a CPFT account from 2014 onwards an intermediary must turn to a „Trusted Partner“ of his choice. In future, trusted partners can be:

  • Insurance companies
  • Intermediaries‘ associations
  • accredited, independent training providers
  • The Berufsbildungswerk der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft (BWV) e.V. as head office of the initiative and
  • third parties accredited by the BWV.

The Trusted Partner establishes the personal identity. It opens the account for the intermediary, following which the intermediary receives his access data for the account from the advanced training database.

Credit Points for Further Training can then be credited to the accounts of the insurance intermediaries taking part by the accredited training providers. The preconditions for the accreditation of the training providers are being currently developed by the Committee for Quality Control. It is likely that it will be able to carry out accreditations from the end of 2013.

The Berufsbildungswerk der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft (BWV) e.V. as head office of the initiative is responsible for running the further training database. In 2013 the further training database is being developed and tested by the following pilot companies:

Here is the list of the 12 pilot companies

The following document contains further information about the technical implementation of the further training database. It is addressed to those who want to know what “Trusted Partner” means, which technical resources a “Trusted Partner” has or how a recognized training provider can credit CPFT points.
